A note from the Editor on our
new quarterly format.

bfia_logo.pngThis month britishfoodinamerica moves to a quarterly cycle instead of publishing ten Numbers a year as we habitually have done. We do not contemplate posting any less content but rather hope to attract more readers by keeping headlines on our homepage for longer stretches of time.

bfia has a (very) low silhouette on Google and other search engines, so we are difficult to find. When readers do find us they tend to like us, and to return to the site. Our tracking statistics, however, indicate that in many cases new readers only begin to locate our essays, recipes and reviews toward the end of each month when we are about to replace them on the homepage.

We will continue to exploit internet technology by posting new material between formal Numbers, something we obviously would be unable to do in print. That practice will not only keep the site fresh but also allow us to post timely as well as historical observations.

Thanks to all our loyal readers; we hope you will continue to find us interesting and ask only that you help spread the word. As ever, we welcome your submission of essays, recipes or proposed topics through FeedbaG.
